I was born and raised in Portage La Prairie, my parents Roy and Colleen are still there and I enjoy going back as much as I can to see old friends and see how much the town has changed and grown. I was also involved in competitive sports, especially hockey. When I was 16 years old, I moved to Kindersley Saskatchewan to play junior hockey for the Klippers in the SJHL.
After two seasons playing in Kindersley I was fortunate enough to receive a full 4 year athletic scholarship to RPI in Troy, NY. Playing Division 1 hockey in the NCAA was an unbelievable life changing experience. While attending RPI which has been ranked as one of the top 20 management school in the USA, I was able to attain a major in Management with a duel concentration in marketing and sports psychology. Playing hockey in New York took me all over the country and really made me appreciate what a great life we have living in a smaller city here in Brandon. You can get anywhere in Brandon in less than 10 minutes.
When my hockey playing days were over, I moved back to Manitoba and met my Wife Jennifer, we move home in 2007 and our first son Brady was born on March 14, 2008. We were blessed again on Nov 24 2009 to welcome our second boy, and finally in March 29, 2011 we added Maddox to complete our family.
I was born and raised in Brandon, MB. I attended Riverheights Elementary, and moved onto Vincent Massey for High School. My parents, Jim and Pam Horn, were small business owners until recently, and always very involved in our community. They instilled in me the importance of loving the community you live in, and working hard to give back and make a difference in the community.
I attended the University of Manitoba, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy in 2005. Upon graduation I joined Ryan in Calgary, and began my career at a Physiotherapist in a small private practice clinic. We were married a couple of years later, and once we decided to expand our family we made the move back to Brandon. We both loved growing up in smaller cities, and wanted our children to have those same experiences. Shortly after our relocation our family expanded at a rather rapid pace. Our eldest son Brady made his appearance in 2008, followed by Ashton in 2009, and Maddox in 2011. Before Brady arrived, and in between maternity leaves in worked with the Brandon Regional Health Authority, and the Rehabilitation Centre for Children as a physiotherapist. Once we had 3 little wee guys at home, I made the choice to leave my profession in order to stay home with my family, and support Ryan in his budding Real Estate career. As they boys got older, and were entering school I decided to join Ryan in the Real Estate world.
I fell in love instantly with the Real Estate world. I feel passionate about working collaboratively with our clients to achieve whatever their goal is in real estate.
